Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cristian Naike made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Roland in the 11th minute. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Elpidio Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 16th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland. But to his dismay, Nicolas Roland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Vitin having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 27th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Vitin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Samuel Navarro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Cristian Naike took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Vélez Juniors's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Vitin came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Elpidio Vitin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alberto Joey, made in the 46th minute of the game. In the 47th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Montenegro to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Elpidio Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 50th minute of the match. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Vélez Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Joey to maneuver through the defense. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Rivas in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. 65 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Roland in the 67th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elpidio Vitin. Elpidio Vitin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Kevin Mastache was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Colombia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 80 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abram Secada. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Vélez Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kevin Mastache took the corner. The corner ended in Kevin Mastache almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin did a great save. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Rivas in the 83rd minute of play. Abram Secada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Elpidio Vitin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Abram Secada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Vélez Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevin Mastache ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Colombia's Ignacio Mastache getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Vélez Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
