52 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Yngve Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Kevin Mastache managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zbigniew Nigbor in the 61 minute of the game. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the game, Santino Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Yngve Fredriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Djurgårdens IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
