Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goalkeeper Yngve Fredriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. A sloppy throw-in by Zbigniew Nigbor in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A collision led to Djurgårdens IF getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Zbigniew Nigbor hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yngve Fredriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yngve Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yngve Fredriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of the match. Yngve Fredriksson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Eliseo Mina fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Yngve Fredriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Åke Termander came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yngve Fredriksson. Milagros Fraga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Yngve Fredriksson made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Jörgen Ekberg hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luz Tejedor missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 48 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Yngve Fredriksson right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Åke Termander to make the kick off. Yngve Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Djurgårdens IF's goalkeeper Yngve Fredriksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Djurgårdens IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Åke Termander got free with Rolando Noboa in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of play forced Djurgårdens IF's goalkeeper Yngve Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Yngve Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djurgårdens IF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Yngve Fredriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 89th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yngve Fredriksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
