Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mariano Lacasa got the match started through his kick off. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 6th minute of play. In the 12th minute Tadeo Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Cristobal Estavan made a huge save. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Wallengren in the 17th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Cristobal Estavan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristobal Estavan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Casaus went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Cristobal Estavan in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlando Casaus kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristobal Estavan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Omar Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Wallengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Wallengren in the 38th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Tadeo Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newell´s's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Jakobe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Jakobe in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tadeo Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newell´s's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeo Jakobe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Newell´s made a substitution. Amancio Bilintx replaced Mattias Wallengren. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeo Jakobe was the one to do the kick off. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Amancio Bilintx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Casaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristobal Estavan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Newell´s were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Indiana Turban took the corner. Newell´s's Indiana Turban was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Jakobe in the 68th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amancio Bilintx in the 71st minute. Amancio Bilintx scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Newell´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Montier to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Estavan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Amancio Bilintx's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thiago Pliego firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 87 played minutes Omar Cordara rounded Chile's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-2. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Jakobe in the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Indiana Turban was slow to take the kick. During this time Newell´s's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Newell´s's Isidoro Ramires getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.
