Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Laércio Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laércio Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Adam Hârțan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adam Hârțan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Hârțan in the 22nd minute of the match. Laércio Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Laércio Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Emanuel Vigil got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Laércio Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Laércio Trigo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laércio Trigo saved PEÇONHENTO FC MG from getting behind. 58 minutes into the game, Tarcisio Luz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Waldemar Niedziela got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tarcisio Luz. After having played for 63 minutes, Tarcisio Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Tony Tavares was substituted for Waldemar Niedziela. A sloppy throw-in by Tony Tavares in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of play forced PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Laércio Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but PEÇONHENTO FC MG were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
