Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victorino Bonifaco kicked off to start the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Zarco Figueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 8 minutes on the clock, Severino Mitxaut commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peñaloza! 12 minutes into the match, Evelio Dacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evelio Dacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 20th minute Evelio Dacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Dacio might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evelio Dacio ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Zarco Figueira in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evelio Dacio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. If Federico Estavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarco Figueira. Peñaloza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Zarco Figueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Oihan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes Peñaloza's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Peñaloza's Zarco Figueira managed to reach the ball for a save. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Peñaloza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Bonifaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Oihan went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Simon Oihan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute, Evelio Dacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peñaloza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Anibal Gaitan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Peñaloza's Zarco Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Evelio Dacio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Peñaloza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peñaloza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
