After a rather tough play, POZANTI SPOR's Fehmi Niyazi got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcin Degutis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcin Degutis was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaino Juura in the 30th minute of play. POZANTI SPOR were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan-Carlos Franques took the corner. The corner led POZANTI SPOR's Juan-Carlos Franques to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. POZANTI SPOR's Marcin Degutis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save POZANTI SPOR from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Emre Bolat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POZANTI SPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Felix Montes. Emre Bolat hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcin Degutis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After 53 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. If Emre Bolat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Emre Bolat sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute, Fehmi Niyazi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcin Degutis having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcin Degutis. POZANTI SPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. POZANTI SPOR made a substitution. Behram Çubukcu replaced Yusuf Salah. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaino Juura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to POZANTI SPOR getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Laurent Blanc hit a great ball. POZANTI SPOR succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
