Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Garrett Brock took the kick off in the first half of the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Hal Mackey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Emmanuel Corley scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Emmanuel Corley's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Western Springs FC fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Western Springs FC's Emmanuel Corley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hal Mackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of play. Western Springs FC's Hal Mackey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montenegro drilling the ball in to score 2-1 behind Western Springs FC's goalkeeper. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hal Mackey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th match minute, Western Springs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevie Goddard to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hal Mackey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Lionel Egan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Lionel Egan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emmanuel Corley came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. In the 33rd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hal Mackey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel Egan struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Western Springs FC. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lionel Egan. Western Springs FC's Kerry McDonald was substituted for Garrett Brock.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Hal Mackey made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Corley in the 57th minute of play. Hal Mackey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emmanuel Corley's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Western Springs FC's Hal Mackey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Western Springs FC from getting a goal against them. When Frankie Russell came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Western Springs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frankie Russell couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 86th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hal Mackey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Western Springs FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
