Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Neal Weatherby started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of the match. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Souness in the 16th minute of play. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Kerville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Christian Kerville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Christian Kerville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Sam Mccartan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elderslie Magpies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Mccartan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pere Villanueva hit a great ball. Christian Kerville stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Souness in the 37th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neal Weatherby in the 41st minute of the match. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Christian Kerville made a huge save. Christian Kerville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 59th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christian Kerville quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Christian Kerville was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 66 minute of play. After 68 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. With his leg Christian Kerville managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 72 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Pere Villanueva. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neal Weatherby went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Chaptal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralph Gorham hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Kerville breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Arty Behla made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Steven Chaptal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Elderslie Magpies's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
