The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Deimantas Valys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Deimantas Valys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 minutes of play, FC KOMETA's Deimantas Valys made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Panama booed when FC KOMETA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laimonas Alminas didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC KOMETA's Ignas Žemaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 23rd minute of play. In the 40th minute, Girkantas Kiudulas made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

In the 91st minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. Marcos Cotilla went to the wrong direction when Zarando Palma was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 3-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignas Žemaitis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
