After 6 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Santino Seco. 7 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Polonia's Álvaro Carmona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 11th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Angelino Barba made a huge save. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Barba having to interfere. Angelino Barba was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Axel Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Barba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Barba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belarmino Viejo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Angelino Barba made a huge save. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 40th minute of play. Angelino Barba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Velazquez came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Barba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Angelino Barba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Barba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Angelino Barba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Velazquez in the 70th minute of play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 72nd minute of play. Xavier Salazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Club Deportivo Polonia made a substitution. Loramendi Zabalo replaced Belarmino Viejo. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. If Aquilino Velazquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Loramendi Zabalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Maurino Esperta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Carballar came free, but Angelino Barba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Loramendi Zabalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Polonia's Loramendi Zabalo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Angelino Barba came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. But to his dismay, Pascual Carballar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. If Álvaro Carmona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96thth minute of the game Loramendi Zabalo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Colombia were victorious despite being under pressure from Club Deportivo Polonia for much of the match.
