After 2 minutes, Francisco Carballar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Club Deportivo Polonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chile's Francisco Carballar got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belarmino Viejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Velazquez in the 5th minute of play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Deportivo Polonia's Angelino Barba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Polonia from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Barba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Angelino Barba made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Belarmino Viejo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Thiago Pliego. Dolfo Durango kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Mariano Lacasa sped through Club Deportivo Polonia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelino Barba. 32 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Barba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute of the match Chile got a corner. Club Deportivo Polonia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 34th minute Aquilino Velazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Belarmino Viejo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 43rd minute Belarmino Viejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportivo Polonia were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. García Ramos took the corner. The corner led Club Deportivo Polonia's García Ramos to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Club Deportivo Polonia's Aquilino Velazquez in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belarmino Viejo to make the kick off. Angelino Barba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelino Barba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 54th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Club Deportivo Polonia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chile:s goal. 2-3 came in the 58th minute when Mariano Lacasa all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Angelino Barba. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquilino Velazquez got free with Thiago Pliego in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 64 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurino Esperta who took care of the corner kick. Club Deportivo Polonia's Maurino Esperta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Aquilino Velazquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Velazquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Aquilino Velazquez scored 2-4 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelino Barba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 71st minute of play. Orlando Casaus kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Maurino Esperta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelino Barba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 85th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Angelino Barba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Maurino Esperta shot from long distance in the 94th minute, but Thiago Pliego was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The Chile supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Deportivo Polonia's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Deportivo Polonia.
