Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Zeynel Atabek started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. A collision led to GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Zeynel Atabek hit a great ball. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Zeynel Atabek got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sancar Aktemur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. Zeynel Atabek might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeynel Atabek ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 23 minutes, Zeynel Atabek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeynel Atabek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Merdan Topcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Merdan Topcu got a free kick in the 28th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeynel Atabek in the 30th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeynel Atabek, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tacettin Revha ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Zeynel Atabek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Zeynel Atabek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Cihangir Başkurt hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeynel Atabek in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zeynel Atabek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match, Patricio Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sancar Aktemur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zeynel Atabek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Zeynel Atabek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Zeynel Atabek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeynel Atabek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 65th match minute, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürol Bozbey to maneuver through the defense. Zeynel Atabek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Merdan Topcu got a free kick in the 70th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeynel Atabek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeynel Atabek, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeynel Atabek in the 75th minute of play. The GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
