Gunnar Pettersson was slow to take the kick. During this time Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's players had a chance to rest. In the 45th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mämmädbağır Svensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Edward Mcdonald.

Cassius Byrne showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Joakim Forss might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jenson Smith in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Khalid Parry kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mämmädbağır Svensson. That made the score 2-3 in the 93 minute of play. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
