In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind ...Pingue S.C....'s goalkeeper Javier Abin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 12th minute of play forced ...Pingue S.C....'s goalkeeper Javier Abin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Abin. Javier Abin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Abin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 35th minute of play forced ...Pingue S.C....'s goalkeeper Javier Abin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ...Pingue S.C....'s Santi Gavilanes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Javier Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

...Pingue S.C....'s Javier Abin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save ...Pingue S.C.... from getting a goal against them. ...Pingue S.C....'s Mercado Ibio was substituted for Tiaguinho Gavilanes. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Freitas in the 62nd minute of the match. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Michael Pardaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Javier Abin. Javier Abin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Javier Abin in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Javier Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for ...Pingue S.C..... Michael Pardaves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rolando Noboa. 1-3. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Javier Abin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a long run with the ball, Mercado Ibio did a trick in the 95th minute in front of Peru's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-3. An impressive performance by ...Pingue S.C....'s Mercado Ibio! Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
