The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodor Hreapcă during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Steaua Nordului getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Teodor Hreapcă hit a great ball. Aaron Llorian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanley Wallace in the 8th minute of play forced Steaua Nordului's goalkeeper Davi de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jordan Porter fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Jordan Porter a yellow card for diving instead. Jordan Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Valentin Horodincă sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Bruno Barrett threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Valentin Horodincă this time. Alexandru Bușcu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Barrett having to make a save. In the 18th minute, Bertie Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Troy Kennedy. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Bușcu in the 24th minute of the match. Aaron Llorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rocco Owen hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Steaua Nordului's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Wallace came free, but Davi de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Bușcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes, Steaua Nordului's Valentin Horodincă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Barrett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Steaua Nordului reached it. 44 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Bușcu came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Alexandru Bușcu made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Nae Timaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Steaua Nordului's Alexandru Bușcu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 73rd match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Llorian came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Alexandru Bușcu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandru Bușcu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Aaron Llorian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Davies to maneuver through the defense. After 97 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Charles Cox. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Steaua Nordului fans cheered their team off the field, for while Curacao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
