A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Szigligeti came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 minutes, Feliberto Esiquio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Feliberto Esiquio hit a great ball. C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Norbert Szigligeti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Segundo Anaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Intxixu came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosendo Caradaro charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosendo Caradaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Caradaro. Norbert Szigligeti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Norbert Szigligeti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Dylan Sarmiento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Anaya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norbert Szigligeti having to make a save. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's goalkeeper Norbert Szigligeti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norbert Szigligeti came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 61st minute of the match, Segundo Anaya tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 62nd minute of play forced C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's goalkeeper Norbert Szigligeti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Gaitan to maneuver through the defense. C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Norbert Szigligeti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 64th minute of play. Norbert Szigligeti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Desiderio Intxixu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Enrique Sustrai hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Desiderio Intxixu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Intxixu in the 84th minute of the match. Norbert Szigligeti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, one of C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abraham Alguacil walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
