Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Orlondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Octavio Orlondo took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. In the 38th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Raulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inocencio Raulo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Guido Lizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronald Lammens in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SIDI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
