Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. A hard shot 3 in the game by Marco Seco from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. Marco Seco was extremely unlucky when he, in the 5th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 6 minutes into the game, Kléber do Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTER FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 6th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Marco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Marco Seco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Marco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Noboa scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Kosmatka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emerson Cruz during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Seco in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 28th minute, Marco Seco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 2-1. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Hugo Ferrant with Lautaro Puig as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 39th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Leon Kosmatka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Cruz made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Eliseo Noboa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leon Kosmatka saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 56th minute, Marco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Marcelo Valverde hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to INTER FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Marcelo Valverde hit a great ball. If Hortêncio Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Mandi Oca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. In the 77th minute, Mandi Oca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-2. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 8-2 when Hortêncio Linhares sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Carballo during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! In the 88th minute there was a penalty for INTER FC. Léo Trigo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Sanz. 9-2. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. INTER FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
