Flavio Lavatrice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th play minute Cristian Sancho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Flavio Lavatrice. 1-0. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Molfetta sportiva getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Carmine Iannone hit a great ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Lavatrice having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Molfetta sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Flavio Lavatrice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Flavio Lavatrice skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Daniel Zorita had several of the Molfetta sportiva's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Flavio Lavatrice as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Flavio Lavatrice in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Lavatrice made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Flavio Lavatrice however easily saved by the left post. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Flavio Lavatrice could save by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Cesare Di Renzo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Iannone came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Lavatrice showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute of the match. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Carmine Iannone scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 3-1. In the 59th minute of the match, Cesare Di Renzo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 60 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domenico Campo who took care of the corner kick. Fabiano Fantini charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabiano Fantini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabiano Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Di Renzo in the 64th minute of play. Flavio Lavatrice made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Molfetta sportiva's Flavio Lavatrice. Flavio Lavatrice was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Molfetta sportiva's Dario Melani was substituted for Cesare Di Renzo. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
