Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandro Aballe started the match with the kick off. Dantel Abadie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Andino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dantel Abadie. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 18th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dantel Abadie made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dantel Abadie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Lamento Boliviano's goalkeeper Dantel Abadie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lamento Boliviano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estevao Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dantel Abadie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Estevao Abadie came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Alexandro Aballe notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dantel Abadie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dantel Abadie. The goal made the score 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dantel Abadie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Lamento Boliviano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Abello to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lamento Boliviano getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Montel Abeita hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Bonifaco Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lamento Boliviano. Dantel Abadie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dantel Abadie saved Lamento Boliviano from getting behind. After 72 played minutes Lamento Boliviano got a freekick which was hit by Estevao Abadie. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Joel Abello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lamento Boliviano's Dantel Abadie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Lamento Boliviano getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alexandro Aballe hit a great ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Dantel Abadie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Dantel Abadie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
