Despite this Geronimo Ongile quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Geronimo Ongile made a huge save. 17 minutes into the game, Eddy Ginanjar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Francisco Carballar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Belmiro in the 30th minute of the match. Gastres FC's Geronimo Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Geronimo Ongile in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gastres FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mathieu Koning took the corner. After taking down the ball on Gastres FC's corner Zacarias Claus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thiago Pliego quite easily take care of the ball. Guillermo Fontirroig kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 45th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 74 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. 77 minutes into the match, Benjamin Neto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Neto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Marcos Acuña kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Gastres FC's Edgardo Javiar was substituted for Benjamin Neto. After 84 played minutes Gastres FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Acuña. After 84 played minutes, Chile's Mariano Lacasa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chile reached it. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. Teobaldo Belmiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
