Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ömer Halisdemir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute Ömer Halisdemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 9th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute of the match, Abram Sarmiento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kajetan Dec saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer Halisdemir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zawisza Bydgoszcz were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sixten Gernberg took the corner. Antonello Salomone made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Joshua Garrido. 14 minutes into the game, Ömer Halisdemir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Ömer Halisdemir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Antonello Salomone hit a great ball. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Kajetan Dec made a huge save. In the 38th minute Ömer Halisdemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abram Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Halisdemir came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Åke Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Zawisza Bydgoszcz were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ömer Halisdemir to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kajetan Dec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute, Pascual Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir in the 60th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Gernberg to maneuver through the defense. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Sixten Gernberg kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Abram Secada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Kajetan Dec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zawisza Bydgoszcz made a substitution. Kazimierz Gaszynski replaced Sixten Gernberg. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Ömer Halisdemir got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Antonello Salomone in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Samuel Navarro. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Antonello Salomone with Alphan Altunç as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Antonello Salomone kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Kajetan Dec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Secada in the 91st minute of the match. If Ömer Halisdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zawisza Bydgoszcz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
