Trabzonspor's attentive Aykut Kutluay managed to snatch the ball when Jorge Sainz made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The throw-in from Alberto Gisbert in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Trabzonspor's Gürsel Sönmezalp. In the 21stth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum. Timur Ulum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atahan Çağa hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Trabzonspor defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timur Ulum. The Trabzonspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timur Ulum should have stopped the shot. Timur Ulum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Camilo Franco made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Trabzonspor's Mahmoud Trezeguet. 41 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Timur Ulum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum. Timur Ulum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Trabzonspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-8.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hızır Dicle was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 54th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Timur Ulum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco scored 0-9 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timur Ulum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alim Çavas to maneuver through the defense. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timur Ulum made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Timur Ulum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Timur Ulum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Timur Ulum. With a little luck, Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timur Ulum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Timur Ulum however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timur Ulum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Seco let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 84th minute shot 0-12 at rihgt post. Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor from getting a goal against them. Trabzonspor's Timur Ulum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 90th minute of play. With his leg Timur Ulum managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Uruguay's Camilo Franco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Timur Ulum in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-13 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timur Ulum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 98 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Timur Ulum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The Trabzonspor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
