In the 12th minute of the match Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Peter skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Peter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, Blagoy Doro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Xerxes Doro got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Tauro Doro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Sebastian Villa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 69 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Karl-Michael Brask's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Rareș Hănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Rareș Hănescu. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Peter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Peter was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wagner Doro to maneuver through the defense. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Marin Tufescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Batalionul U23 Dorobanti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
