Piara Tittarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armindo Amado got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Reconquistense FC's Piara Tittarelli. Piara Tittarelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lucas Seme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Lucas Seme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play forced Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Piara Tittarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Reconquistense FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armindo Amado's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piara Tittarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Piara Tittarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Iulian Boc fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reconquistense FC's protests and gave Iulian Boc a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Reconquistense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Boc to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Reconquistense FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Augusto Alfonso hit a great ball. Augusto Alfonso kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Reconquistense FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
