But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvino España couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Haritz Lillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koldo Bermudez having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded SANTA RAYO FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Venezuela.
