Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joinville Esporte Clube's Célio Mangueira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Furtado. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Wellington Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Célio Mangueira. In the 14th minute, Célio Mangueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Aguiar in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Wellington Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes in the game, Tomas Berganza dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro. Wellington Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 1-3 became the score in the 42nd minute when Tomas Berganza elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Wellington Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Wellington Montenegro made a huge save. Wellington Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Montenegro having to interfere. Abraham Alguacil did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Wellington Montenegro 60 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Wellington Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. In the 65th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wellington Montenegro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 68th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Wellington Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 70th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Panama's Abraham Alguacil tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Wellington Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Fausto Aguiar got a free kick in the 80th minute. Wellington Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 82nd minute of play. Wellington Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Miralles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Abraham Alguacil put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Wellington Montenegro. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Miguel Miralles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 97 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wellington Montenegro. Tomas Berganza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joinville Esporte Clube.
