In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KN ZGORZELEC's Emilio Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Wessel Bos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 2-0. Wessel Bos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Wessel Bos came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
