Barnaba Blochowiak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Mauro Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. If Tobiasz Derlanga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Brokopondo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Kalak in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. Camilo Gisbert made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Blochowiak in the 29th minute of play. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stefan Bejrut showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Esteves having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Barnaba Blochowiak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Barnaba Blochowiak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan Bejrut made a kick off. Barnaba Blochowiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. With a little luck, Brokopondo's Mauro Esteves got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mauro Esteves came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 57th minute. Brokopondo made a substitution. 정 남 replaced Stefan Bejrut. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After having played for 72 minutes, Barnaba Blochowiak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brokopondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnaba Blochowiak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73rd play minutes Barnaba Blochowiak shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Esteves saved Brokopondo from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, Brokopondo's Barnaba Blochowiak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Brokopondo's goalkeeper Mauro Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Mauro Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 정 남 in the 95th minute of play.
