Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Urbasa saved Gladiadores from getting behind. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Urbasa having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Pettinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Blas Beila tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! The goalkeeper, Julio Vera, was totally fooled by Gladiadores's Marciano Pettinelli, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blas Beila in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blas Beila made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 25thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Julio Vera would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Gladiadores's attack was well implemented in the 25th minute, but when Blas Beila was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Daniel Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. 36 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Beila. In the 36th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 38th minute of play. The Gladiadores players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Blas Beila was the one to do the kick off. Blas Beila struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladiadores. 54 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goalkeeper Daniel Urbasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. After 60 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. After 61 played minutes, Gladiadores's Marciano Pettinelli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gladiadores reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Daniel Urbasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Urbasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Fabricio Pereyra hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiadores's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Urbasa came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Pettinelli. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Belo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
