Habib Kutuner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Buhagiar in the 9th minute of play. Joselito Gimenez struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE LEGEND COME BACK. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Buhagiar in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute THE LEGEND COME BACK were awarded a corner. Vladimir Hristoskov went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Sagi Bek managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 21 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Habib Kutuner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 24 played minutes, Ecuador's Luis Andino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Habib Kutuner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Buhagiar came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Berkant Sudi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Kutuner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by THE LEGEND COME BACK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Habib Kutuner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Berkant Sudi came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the THE LEGEND COME BACK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berkant Sudi couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Berkant Sudi to strike the kick off in the second half.
