The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luz Palacio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mikael Ståhlberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Aleksander Hult took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luz Palacio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tytus Wyrzykowski. That made the score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Palacio got free with Tytus Wyrzykowski in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 68 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Tytus Wyrzykowski managed to make a qualified save. Almaröds FF's players were relieved. Almaröds FF's Mikael Åström got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mikael Ståhlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
