BumboTava's Zigrīds Paupers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of play. Vitālijs Domasēvics hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zigrīds Paupers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of the match. Zigrīds Paupers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Zigrīds Paupers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zigrīds Paupers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zigrīds Paupers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 37th minute of the match. Zigrīds Paupers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Facundo Cadaval's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Vitālijs Domasēvics hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xoan Huguet made a kick off. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zigrīds Paupers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xoan Huguet in the 60th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BumboTava's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elói Siqueira in the 61st minute. The corner ended in Elói Siqueira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Tabb Bornes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Zigrīds Paupers. BumboTava's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Elói Siqueira hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. The supporters of Mexico booed when BumboTava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Rodríguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zigrīds Paupers having to interfere. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Elói Siqueira's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Dante Lacasa - 1-2 was put on the score board in the 84th minute. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind BumboTava's goalkeeper Zigrīds Paupers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Xoan Huguet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xoan Huguet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
