In the 12th minute Jacobo Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, LOS BUITRES's Lv Zhou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dinei Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobo Casado in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loco Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save SeleSantos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 17thth minute of the game Lv Zhou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, LOS BUITRES's Christian Kellbom got a free kick in the 19th minute. Loco Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niilo Mikkola in the 21st minute of the match. Jacobo Casado struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Loco Higuita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SeleSantos FC. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dinei Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Zhou in the 35th minute of the match. LOS BUITRES's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Narciso Socorro in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Zhou in the 41st minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
