Vitinho de Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pål Sefastsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Vitinho de Barros slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Tymoteusz Watarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Pietro's late challenge caught a National Team Cape-Verde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Pietro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Guido Pietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the game, National Team Cape-Verde's Tymoteusz Watarz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonard Rosen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Vitinho de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AA Bełchatów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitinho de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho de Barros in the 25th minute of play. AA Bełchatów were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after National Team Cape-Verde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 忠 杨浩云 took the corner. The corner ended in 忠 杨浩云 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson did a great save. In the 28th minute, Tymoteusz Watarz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonard Rosen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. National Team Cape-Verde's Fredric Melander managed to work through AA Bełchatów's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fredric Melander dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of National Team Cape-Verde booed when AA Bełchatów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwan Zachemski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tymoteusz Watarz succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Leonard Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Melander in the 36th minute of play. National Team Cape-Verde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Vitinho de Barros scored to the left of an out of position Pål Sefastsson, making the score, 2-3. Leonard Rosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes AA Bełchatów's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fredric Melander who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredric Melander was the one to do the kick off. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho de Barros in the 64th minute of play. If Vitinho de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho de Barros in the 70th minute of play. Tansu İnanoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Motowski came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomil Frankowski in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's Klas Bergqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonard Rosen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 80 in the game by Klas Bergqvist from a close distance when the talented Leonard Rosen managed to make a qualified save. AA Bełchatów's players were relieved. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho de Barros in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Tomasz Motowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Sefastsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Klas Bergqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonard Rosen. AA Bełchatów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klas Bergqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Guido Pietro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched National Team Cape-Verde eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
