With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tymoteusz Watarz in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stephan Wielens saved De Horsterboeren SV from getting behind. After 9 minutes, Tymoteusz Watarz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. De Horsterboeren SV's Stephan Wielens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Pål Sefastsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Shi Yao Zhen came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pål Sefastsson could save by the left post. 16 minutes into the match, De Horsterboeren SV's goal looked a bit too open when Tymoteusz Watarz came free, but Stephan Wielens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fredric Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephan Wielens was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Tymoteusz Watarz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stephan Wielens. De Horsterboeren SV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tymoteusz Watarz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Vesterberg in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match De Horsterboeren SV got a corner. National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joris Zoetmulder ran over to the corner to take the kick. Roland Björklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephan Wielens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Melander in the 35th minute of play forced De Horsterboeren SV's goalkeeper Stephan Wielens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stephan Wielens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Wijk charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Wijk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Wästerberg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Bennvar Post got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Leszek Majdoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in De Horsterboeren SV's zone, Fredric Melander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan Wielens came out of the goal and Fredric Melander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez was substituted for Bennvar Post. Fredric Melander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Stephan Wielens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tymoteusz Watarz in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephan Wielens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, De Horsterboeren SV's Stephan Wielens got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Tevez tried to sneak it across the goal line. De Horsterboeren SV's Stephan Wielens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save De Horsterboeren SV from getting a goal against them. Stephan Wielens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Melander in the 71st minute of play. National Team Cape-Verde's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fredric Melander in the 73rd minute. The supporters of De Horsterboeren SV booed when National Team Cape-Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Vibjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, De Horsterboeren SV's Joris Zoetmulder broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 82nd minute, German Orlanda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the De Horsterboeren SV defense, Carlos Alberto Tevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephan Wielens. The De Horsterboeren SV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephan Wielens should have stopped the shot. Klas Bergqvist had several of the De Horsterboeren SV's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 91 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Stephan Wielens as he didn't even see the shot coming. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Yao Zhen in the 96th minute of play. The De Horsterboeren SV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching National Team Cape-Verde's performance. The match ended with a win for National Team Cape-Verde.
