Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, UFC Mahmudie's Alin Cismaș got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after UFC Mahmudie's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cristinel Vrejiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Maxim Lupeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Maxim Lupeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Antoniu charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Antoniu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to UFC Mahmudie getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Adrian Antoniu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Vrejiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Octavian Crăiniceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dinu Olariu made a kick off. In the 51st minute Maxim Lupeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristinel Vrejiu. Cristinel Vrejiu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 58th match minute, UFC Mahmudie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Coidum to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristinel Vrejiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 65 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Cristinel Vrejiu managed to make a qualified save. UFC Mahmudie's players were relieved. UFC Mahmudie's Dinu Olariu got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 minutes of play UFC Mahmudie's Adrian Antoniu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. UFC Mahmudie's Cristinel Vrejiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute of play.
