Ivan Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Spartak das Kaldas's Juliano Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Avelino Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Spartak das Kaldas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliano Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Villa's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spartak das Kaldas's Juliano Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eduardo Palhares made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Henrique Júdice. In the 80th match minute, Spartak das Kaldas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Spartak das Kaldas's Juliano Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliano Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Meira. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Honduras fans cheered their team off the field, for while Spartak das Kaldas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
