Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Chile booed when South Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Pettersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Bellucci in the 16th minute of the match. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Sercombe in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, South Park's Einar Lund got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, South Park's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Ren Mur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, South Park's Ren Mur got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Indiano got free with Ren Mur in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Ren Mur made a huge save. Anthony Bellucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Ren Mur when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 46th minute Anthony Bellucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match South Park got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anthony Bellucci ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mariano Lacasa scored 1-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ren Mur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ren Mur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ren Mur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes South Park got a freekick which was hit by Einar Lund. Chile's attentive Alan Tamayo managed to snatch the ball when Sören Sandell made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Sercombe in the 66th minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Bellucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ren Mur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ren Mur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Chile's Xavier Figueroa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ren Mur in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ren Mur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. The South Park supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing South Park would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
