Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yao Bin Yun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yao Bin Yun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Yao Bin Yun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fundação Marques dos Reis booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Wesly Goemyne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yao Bin Yun came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Fundação Marques dos Reis's Taras Romanchuk in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taras Romanchuk in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Taras Romanchuk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute Fundação Marques dos Reis were awarded a corner. Wesly Goemyne went to the cornerflag to take it. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Yao Bin Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th match minute, Fundação Marques dos Reis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Viveiros to maneuver through the defense. David Monteiro hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Fundação Marques dos Reis's Yao Bin Yun got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yao Bin Yun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru played a much better game than Fundação Marques dos Reis and deserved their victory. The Fundação Marques dos Reis players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
