The supporters of Ecuador booed when Barrialito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Elivareo having to interfere. 35 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Elivareo was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Cristo Elivareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristo Elivareo. Barrialito AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 44th minute, Lucas Brais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Socorro in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 57 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Cristo Elivareo managed to make a qualified save. Barrialito AFC's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Felix Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristo Elivareo. That made the score 0-3 after 75 minutes of play. Barrialito AFC's Cristo Elivareo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Barrialito AFC from getting a goal against them. Cristo Elivareo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristo Elivareo. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Socorro in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes, Lucas Brais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrialito AFC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucas Brais kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
