David Armada might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Armada ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Armada in the 8th minute. Daniel Sbârcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Van Havent in the 21st minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Daniel Sbârcea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Sbârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Orihuela Club de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Revuelta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Orihuela Club de Fútbol's David Armada got a free kick in the 28th minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnny Van Havent went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Johnny Van Havent hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Sbârcea saved Orihuela Club de Fútbol from getting behind.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Van Havent in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eguzki Martinez in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Orihuela Club de Fútbol booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Nicolás Grau lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Orihuela Club de Fútbol made a substitution. Desiderio Perutxo replaced Johnny Van Havent. Daniel Zorita shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. In the 74th minute Desiderio Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Daniel Sbârcea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Orihuela Club de Fútbol from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Sbârcea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Desiderio Perutxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play forced Orihuela Club de Fútbol's goalkeeper Daniel Sbârcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 played minutes Orihuela Club de Fútbol got a freekick which was hit by David Armada. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Perutxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orihuela Club de Fútbol succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
