In the 31st minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Dreamland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Dreamland's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Niemojewski came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Herman Mellbad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herman Mellbad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Tolek Sidorowicz took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. When Dreamland's Duke Levy in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. The Dreamland fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Dreamland's Duke Levy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Alagoano scored 6-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Duke Levy came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Dreamland's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Bernard Niemojewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
