Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Robert Vincent scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 1-1. 14 minutes into the game, Brannik's Stefan Pierson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sidney Eldridge showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 24 minute of play. Byron Tanner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefan Pierson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-1 to the left of a surprised Benito Sanz 37 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when İslam Hirfanlı tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brannik booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Robert Vincent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İslam Hirfanlı to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Brannik's İslam Hirfanlı. But to his dismay, İslam Hirfanlı quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. In the 63rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. İslam Hirfanlı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Sidney Eldridge kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İslam Hirfanlı in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when İslam Hirfanlı came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute İslam Hirfanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a Brannik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When Brannik's Stefan Pierson in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Pierson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Aaron Alcocer took a quick shot and it went in 8-2 without a chance for Byron Tanner to make any attempt to save it. In the 92nd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Brannik's Domenico Knutson got a free kick in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Brannik had played much better football throughout.
