A beautiful save bye Clube do Remo MZ's goalie prevented a goal. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wachirapong Wattanachinda having to make a save. 17 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wachirapong Wattanachinda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 24 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Clube do Remo MZ's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wachirapong Wattanachinda came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Sandoval in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baal Grunberg was the one to do the kick off. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baal Grunberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Sandoval in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Lorenzo Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 61st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Wachirapong Wattanachinda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 70 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Mandrak came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wachirapong Wattanachinda. Clube do Remo MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Baal Grunberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Tiaguinho Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiaguinho Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 93rd minute, Fabricio Ritchie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
