Adriano Ribeiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 8 minutes of play, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zheng Chao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Adriano Ribeiro notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 22 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zheng Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of the match. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Obscurials were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabian Spânu took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Edelmiro Mateo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Obscurials's Zheng Chao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save The Obscurials from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zheng Chao. That made the score 3-1 in the 53 minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Ribeiro in the 56th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Zheng Chao made a huge save. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by The Obscurials's Anders Westerstrand. But to his dismay, Anders Westerstrand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. With a little luck, The Obscurials's Zheng Chao got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zheng Chao made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Ribeiro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zheng Chao made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Zheng Chao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adriano Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the The Obscurials fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Zheng Chao in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrance Grandison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A well-hit corner resulted in Anders Westerstrand heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. If Lawrance Grandison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
