Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ted Boshuis kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Ted Boshuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Anselius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 12 minutes, Arnaldo Rolado made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ove Anselius came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 15th minute. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ove Anselius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. When Arnaldo Rolado came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Gunnah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Rolado couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ove Anselius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes of play, Gunnah FC's Ted Boshuis made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Gunnah FC's Sven-Arne Albäck got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Arnaldo Rolado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 42nd minute, Ted Boshuis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gunnah FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. When Gunnah FC's Arif Memduh Teber in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Gunnah FC's Ove Anselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 54th minute of play. Sven-Arne Albäck hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ove Anselius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Gunnah FC's Ove Anselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes in the game Sven-Arne Albäck did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ted Boshuis. In the 78th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Anselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Anselius having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Rolado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
