The referee ignored Worst Team Ever's protests and gave Bengt-Arne Sjöö a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Worst Team Ever got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Sjöö. Edmundo Espiga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melker Dahlqvist saved Worst Team Ever from getting behind. The supporters of Worst Team Ever booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Melker Dahlqvist in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentín Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Robin Fogel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sebastian Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Melker Dahlqvist made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melker Dahlqvist was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Worst Team Ever's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fritz Wiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalle Berg hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Honduras's Christian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melker Dahlqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Robin Fogel made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Espinar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Melker Dahlqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Worst Team Ever's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Cabal came free, but Melker Dahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper Melker Dahlqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd minute of play forced Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper Melker Dahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Esteban Carvallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melker Dahlqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Robin Fogel hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Worst Team Ever's Melker Dahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 92nd minute of play. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
