An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordie Goretzka in the 23rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Santino Corleone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Warberg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. A collision led to Warberg FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Santino Corleone hit a great ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justas Kukulskis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Warberg FC's Rikard Hääger got a free kick in the 38th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim-Asım Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Rikard Hääger hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Justas Kukulskis but with some difficulty.

Warberg FC made a substitution. Des Nutsch replaced Hubert Hubert. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Dominic Szoboszlai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Justas Kukulskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Warberg FC's Justas Kukulskis did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Des Nutsch in the 89th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justas Kukulskis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 96th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justas Kukulskis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Warberg FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mexico.
